Mike Ross is from Monroe, LA and moved to Memphis, TN when he was 18 to play college baseball. He then went on to be drafted professionally by the Tampa Bay Rays where he played 2 seasons in the minors. He loved playing baseball but Mike knew that painting was his real calling and today provides many people and businessess with the joy of his beautiful art.
Mike started out painting for friends and family but eventually was painting for the occasional buyer. He mainly did portraits and was selling wedding, pet and sports paintings (as he will still do today on request). He has now grown into one of Memphis' most outstanding oil on canvas artist having his art shown at many business parties, concerts and even has his own gallery inside the Lunchbox Eats, a very divine resturaunt/gallery near Beale Street.
